Is your program support service outsourced?
How can I be sure the consultants understand U.S. payroll and have in-depth knowledge of the software?
PenSoft’s program support is not outsourced overseas. Our corporate office is located in Newport News, Virginia. We do not send any part of our software development or program support overseas. Each program consultant is required to satisfactorily complete an extensive PenSoft Payroll training program before they are ever allowed to assist our customers.
The majority of our program support consultants are certified by the American Payroll Association (APA).
What does that mean? It means that our support staff meets the gold standard of the payroll industry. APA certification has 2 tracks:
- The Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) which verifies your payroll knowledge, skills, and abilities
- The 2nd track is that of a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP). A CPP is an advanced certification credential for those with experience in payroll. Certification is valid for five full calendar years after the year of certification.
