Filing deadline for paper Forms 1094 and 1095 to the IRS is February 28, 2017!
With a flood of information from the news, employers can be confused! The IRS Notice 2016-70 provides a 30 day extension to companies who are subject to reporting to deliver the forms to employees. These forms are DUE to employees March 2, 2017!
ACA Reporting Due Dates
February 29, 2017: Paper submissions due for employers ACA information reporting to the IRS
March 2, 2017: Employee Forms 1095 B&C due to employees
March 31, 2017: Due date for employers electronically filing ACA information to the IRS
Many company are being proactive and notifying employees about the extension
where to get their information so they can file their taxes…. The Form 1095 is not required to be attached with the employee’s tax return.
